The connection of the city through an urban scale. From the unit to the city, an accessible way. The use of cycling paths to connect and branch out into the city, for easy accessibility and fast maneuvering. Currently the city of Newark has, bike lanes but not enough to be able to safely ride within the city. This project highlights the importance of bike paths. To allow the paths to be used throughout the duration of the entire year. Ways of doing so could be utilizing things like fabric tensile structures within the build procedure of paths to allow for shelter from weather patterns. A way to also make the paths more welcoming and safe to use overall is by thinking about their use throughout different times of the day.
The paths can extend during certain times of the day to allow for different activities to occur on the
paths, after all our journeys throughout the day are ever changing and so the paths that we also utilize should also change along side us.
